OUR PHILOSOPHY

The Body Consultants was founded to help change the world one human at a time. We know, it’s a very bold statement, but this is what drives our passion on a daily basis.

You see, we were fed up with the mediocrity of gyms and the fitness industry. The overcrowded, under-equipped commercial gyms with no guidance or support for their members.

The countless selfies and ego, along with the non-welcoming judgment by self-absorbed people. We wanted change, so, we decided that change starts with us so, and at last, TBC was born We’ve got big ambitions at TBC.

In fact, our goal is to help over 1000 people to become the ultimate version of themselves no matter what that looks like for them. Our purpose is to help transform your mind and body.
The way in which we do this is Educate, Action, Results. This is our success formula. We first educate you as an individual, and craft a plan that is going to fit in your lifestyle, we NEVER push our own agenda’s on our clients, we need to understand you as a person and exactly what you want to get out of this journey.

From there, we start with educating you on small daily habits. Yes, it seems simple, however, the irrefutable fact is that the reason you’re in the position you’re in right now with your health and fitness is because of the habits that you do (or don’t do) on a daily basis.

We work with you on 4 key areas known as our Core 4 which are Training, Nutrition, Mindset & Accountability. You see, once we’ve educated you on what you need to do in and outside of the gym and you’re taking the necessary actions on a daily basis, the only thing that happens now is that you get results. It’s that simple.

I have been working in the fitness industry for 6 years throughout different gyms in Christchurch. Throughout that time having the privilege to learn from many leading experts in our field, both locally and internationally along the way.

In that time I have had the pleasure of working with 100’s of clients from all walks of life. Such as business executives, busy Mum’s and Dad’s, first time marathoners, Police/Fire service applicants and combat sport competitors.

I have a strong passion for everything health, wellbeing and fitness related and can often be found either in the gym, rolling in my pajamas doing Brazilian jiu jitsu, riding my bike or with my Family.

It is my goal and passion in life to help guide and inspire others to begin their own journey towards reclaiming their health and taking their fitness further than they ever dreamed possible, whatever that may look like.

The culture we have built at TBC is the perfect breeding ground for change, inspiration and a damn good work out. Creating a safe and enjoyable environment where our people are able to smash through plateaus both physical and mental. Becoming the person they always dreamed they could be!

I have been involved in the health, fitness and sports industry for over 10 years. Most of that time was competing as an athlete myself in a five year professional MMA career which took me around the world meeting new people and training with some of the best combat athletes on the planet and having the privilege to be trained by some top level world class coaches.
You won't see me too often outside of a gym environment, my passion for health and fitness sees most of my life being in a gym setting. Whether that be the gym “gym” or the dojo rolling around with some of my best mates. If I’m not in the gym I will be hanging with my best pal, my dog Gohan. We are often going for some walking missions or enjoying down time with friends and family.

Through the years of pushing my body to extreme limits I fell in love with the way the body moves and how to be more efficient in every movement pattern available. My passion is now to share my knowledge in movement and getting people to understand their own bodies capabilities. Helping to improve the overall human performance.
My advice to someone new starting in the gym and starting on their health journey would be the rule of 3. Which is we have great days, mediocre days and bad days. Don’t let the bad days stop you from the main goal/dream. It is fine to not feel 100 percent every session. What I would say is “give me 100% of your 30%”

My Level 4 Personal Training certificate and Bachelor's degree in Sport Coaching specializing in Strength and Conditioning with Nutrition have given me the tools I need to design personalized training programs and nutrition plans that help my clients increase muscle mass, reduce body fat, and minimize injury risk whilst having fun in the process.

But my experience goes beyond my qualifications - I've also worked with individuals of different ages and backgrounds, from teenagers looking to improve their athletic performance to the everyday person seeking to improve their mobility and drop that first 5kgs. I know that everyone's fitness journey is unique, and I'm committed to creating an approach that is tailored to each individual's needs and preferences.
